How to get the APL+Win Training

The APL+Win Training can be found on the APL+Win 3+ CD in the MarketPlace\APLBook subdirectory.

If you don't own APL+Win yet or own an version of APL+Win earlier than 3, you may download the APL+Win Training files below.

Once you have installed the various Training Packages on your system, you may read the APL+Win Training WinWord Chapters to learn how to program Windows interfaces with APL+Win v3.x+. You won't be able to use the accompanying workspaces unless you have APL+Win version 3.0 or later.

In order to see APL characters in the APL+Win Training WinWord documents, you first need to

Download the APL2000.TTF True Type font now

and to install it on your system.

Download the APL+Win Training

You don't need to download the APL+Win Training if you own APL+Win v3+: you'll find all the SETUPxx.ZIP files containing SETUPxx.EXE install files in the \MarketPlace\APLBook directory. But you will need the Installation passwords as described below.

Note: Download and install files in the order described above. In particular install SETUP3U.ZIP after SETUP3.ZIP and SETUP5U.ZIP after SETUP5.ZIP.

The above installation .EXE files install workspaces which are not compatible with APL+Win Versions later than 4.

If you have an APL+Win version later than 4, you should download the W3.ZIP file below: it contains a copy of ALL workspaces contained in the APL+Win Training, saved in APL+Win version 4.0 format. These workspaces can be read by APL+Win version 5.2.x, 6.0.x, 6.2.x and 6.4.x.
